Westlake Tree Lighting Event (Seattle)

DESCRIPTION: The Tree Lighting tradition began out of the Westlake Center's desire to create a "Holiday in the City" atmosphere in the heart of downtown Seattle. The center's team envisioned a festive, community celebration that commenced with caroling from the center's speaker platform and culminated with the lighting of a grand Christmas tree in the center of the plaza. Twenty-two years class="clearfix" its inception, the original vision for the Tree Lighting still reigns true and the celebration continues to be a tradition that friends and families take pleasure in and look forward to every holiday season.
